Who am I ??????

Do you ever feel you have more than one side to you????

I often struggle with that issue.....

I sometimes feel like a real froo frooie.. girlie girl...
so much so that some of my friends nick name me the PRINCESS......

There is a part of me that never goes out without
lipstick and mascara....
My hubbie always brings me my coffee and toast in the mourning...
I try to display good manners and etiquette at all times...
and I strive to make my home look like
the type of place
that RACHEL herself would be proud to call her own.....
but then I sometimes feel not so froo frooie and feel more like the Pug!!!!!

Sometimes I just dont care.....
I often go barefooted.... something that drives my husband insane!!
I Often spill things on myself....
it seems my coffee leaps out of my cup an on to my white blouse or sweater!!! ..its really
not my fault!!! :P
and then sometimes my house looks like a tornado just flew by.......

Sometimes I have to laugh and say to myself...... "who am I????" Am I the princess or the Pug??

I have finally come to terms with the fact that I'm all those things....
and that we all have many dimension's to our personality.

and its all those little quirks that make us unique and human.....
Its also a woman's way of keeping our husbands on their toes and keeping life interesting!!!!

I have to chuckle to myself often when I say or do something...
then my husband looks at me with a smile and saids .....WHAAAAT????.....

It makes me think of Ricky Ricardo talking to Lucy....
and I envision my husband saying to me in a
Latin accent......Sannnnn.......you got some splaining to do!!!!!!

But despite my Lucille Ball mentality and antics he loves me......

I often ask him why?????

and he always saids there is so much why!!!

But of course like any wife I don't let it end there and I make him spell it out!!

But the sweetest thing is he obliges......

All I can say is Ive been very blessed!!!

Well enough of all this mushy stuff..... i've also got some more great news......

i've also been the fortunate winner of many give aways.....

I will post about them all soon...

but for now I have to mention this tremendous load of goodies

that I won from the darlin Jessi !

I couldnt believe all the things she sent me!!!!

The sweetest prettiest packages tied up with gingham and polka dot ribbons...
it wore me out to open it all...hee hee....

Just look at all these wonderful scrap booking supplies!!

Jessi is such a fun spunky girl she goes by the name scrappy jessi

you must check out her blog and her etsy site

She has some of the most whimsical and creative items,

and as a bit of blogging trivia .. her nickname is the living Barbie..

Go visit her and say hello you ll be glad you did!

Ive been moving slow still because of the lymes disease...

I'm not responding to treatment as I had hoped so my projects for the website are coming slower than I hoped.

Thanks for your patience Im working on some special orders and some more treasures for the website

One of which im giving you a sneak peek with this picture......

Doesn't it look scrumptous!!! Whats better than something made with vintage lace but something with pink in it too!!

Ill have to keep you guessing though for now and you ll have to wait to find out what it is!!

Sandy

You are a bit of Beauty and the Beastie...me tooo! I wish you lived closer..I would convince you to get a trailer so we could pretty them up together and hit the road for some Thelma and Louise ventures.

Are you making a pretty lamp shade?
My house is in a state of BEASTIE right now......I have barely decorated for Halloween. I am into one thing and then jump right in to another.

Do you still have your brick and mortar store?.....my website is so slow right now but my space is doing well and I have sold a few things on Etsy lately. I will be doing a bit on lollipop shops too.

See you in a few days...when you reveal your pretty:)

Hi Sandy,

I'm sad to hear you are not feeling well, but can relate. I am very tired lately with my Fybro and my Crohns, so I'm taking it a bit slower than usual.

I love the way you describe yourself. It truly sounds like we were separated at birth. We both adore everything frilly, and fru fru and lacy and all that great pink, pastel stuff. But...

I do walk around in overalls most of the time and don't really care too much how I look. Almost every day I spill at least one drop of coffee on my clean top!

Well I guess all of these qualities make up some pretty fantastic and creative ladies. I'm glad to know you!

Sandy, you are so funny. I can definitely relate and agree. That's what makes us unique and the reason our men love us. Who wants "boring" anyway?

LOL Sandy I can relate to this too! I think most of us are walking contradictions, or princesses and pugs (though I have to say I'm one of the people who does find pugs to be super adorable). OH and I am not exactly sure why but once a month I find I am "super opposite", lol!

We are ALL complicated and have multiple personalities! That's what makes us INTERESTING!

I prefer to say that I am multifaceted but my friends would probably tell you I am confused. I love all things frou frou but I can swing a hammer with the best of the guys!

I think we all tend to loose ourselves caring for others, working, trying to keep above water. I try so hard to keep my house nice and pretty, soon as I start creating , it like a bomb went off! I give up I'm a slobby designer now that might be a feature in romantic homes, Slobby romantics at work, that would be a new one! Lol Your so talented , you are who you are each day...Wonderful!!

Oh my goodness you are a crackup! "The Princess and the Pug" should be the title of your autobiography! LOL!

OK WHAT on earth is that frilly confection? Can I call dibs on it???

Hi, Sandy,
Thanks so much for your visit and comment on my Shoe Fits post -- I love your story! Every princess needs a really comfy pair of shoes! And you're right, the switch-backs between Princess and Pug certainly do keep us husbands on our toes, and keep life interesting -- and we love it!
Blessings,
BILL

Sandy,
Gosh such a adorable post, really! I'm so very much a frou frou girly girl! I know what I like, I know I like finer and expensive things (even if I can't afford over half of them-LOL), I love to go to the finest detail to make my home special, and wear alot of pink! So what do others think of me here? Annoyed! Yes I am a perfectionist, but I am and don't always expect others should be, yet I intimidate people I'm told! So on the flip side, my closets are over flowing, I collect too much and don't get the dusting done on time and my favorite shoe is a pair of worn Old Navy cupcake slippers! Also at times my kitchen cupboards can get scary! So see I'm real, just a girl who loves and wears alot of pink! LOL Take care, hubby sounds dreamy!! Lori

OK, so I'm not the only conflicted royal out there! Good to know! I just thought 'I'm not worthy'. Here I thought everybody but me was perfect, dressed perfect, with perfect lives & perfect houses. In decorating, I'm always conflicted about 'function versus beauty', and I love a neat, orderly, organized, beautiful home, yet as an artist, when I have a project, working in my bare feet of course, my home gets scattered, & piled up! I'm relieved. Gloria
