Its finally here!!!! My Catherine Risi Masterpiece!
When I saw this coffee table on Catherines site I new instantly I had to have it!! It was one of the most beautiful things I ever saw!
The problem was convincing my hubbie that I needed it since it is one of Catherines higher price point items and was going to cost a pretty penny.
I promised him that if I could buy it I would be really really good for a long time.......
He didnt know I had my toes crossed! :P
He still hesitated..... untill I came up with the deal closer!!!!!!
I told him that I had to have it because " the two children look just like him and I"!!
Him the little latin boy and me with the strawberry blonde hair and roses adorning her how much more perfect could it be!!
(Now your not alone in your laughing at this moment all my girlfriends did the same when I told them that one!)
but it worked and he said I could buy it!
I just love it!!! The problem now though is decorating it, since It has all the beautiful painting on top you dont want to cover it with lots of stuff.
And since I have a small cottage I need every display space possible because as you know I like my stuff!
I came up with a few ideas im still playing with to get it just right. but Ill show you what ive come up with for now,
No the Pug is not part of the display but as im trying to work he is trying to take a nap on me so I took this quick picture to show you what I have to go through to get anything done :)
I forgot to add the picture I wanted here but if you look in the first photo or the photo to the right of this post it shows antique cake plate on a pedestal that I placed on the far right hand corner of the table.
Since it was raised it didnt cover the artwork but it gave me a little more display space to put some of my favorties chachtkies (how do you spell that word?)
This picture of the little poodles remind me of my husband and me as well,

XOXO

How clever you are to convince him that the painting looked like the two of you

Wow, that table is gorgeous! I just bought a necklace with two cherubs and I just had to justify it to myself but I did the same thing "how can I pass it up, those cherubs look just like my kids, one has red hair and the other brown" I talked MYSELF into it!
Sandy, this is gorgeous!!! I was laughing so much when you said how you convinced him... great thinking! lol

Sandy, that table is 2DIE4. I have several of Catherine's original paintings. I have a two lovely pictures and a beautiful bucket which is in my bathroom.
I have to say, I love the way you used the clear cake plate to lift your treasures up and off of the beautiful painting.
The "it looks like you and me" would never work with my husband. We both have black hair!!!
I am trying to decided whether to part with some of my awesome poodles. I was going to use them on my wreaths. Yikes. I might have to list a few for you!
xoxo

I don't think I can find the words...but let me try...MAGICAL, AMAZING, DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!!!
Talk about an heirloom! What roses!
Oh my!!!M
BEAUTIFUL! you know the poodles are near and dear to my heart.
I will tell you the story on that.....It is not because of my Sophee-a but she is the other reason for "The Pawsh Poodle". I have not shared this story yet~LOL
Like you, I am drawn to the poodle figurines. I love the spaghetti poodles and the poodles with little girls and parasols.
2 years ago, I decided to rent a small space in an antique store. I was not sure what I would sell, vintage clothes, dolls, etc.
I was always drawn to the poodles but did not want to pay the store price, so I shopped ebay. This was 2 years ago so there were still bargains to be had. These poodles are hot now and are harder and harder to find.
Anyway....I picked up a lot of them(several from 1 seller). I put them in my space and they did not go at first but 1 day someone came in and bought $260 worth of my POODLES! So since then, I have been known as the poodle gal. That's my story and Sophee-a came shortly after that :0)
Sandy,
What a gorgeous table. It's truly a piece of art! I could stare at it for hours. I am still giggling at the way you convinced your sweetie pie to let you buy it. What a great Mother's Day you are having already! My hubby doesn't go in for any of the sentimental goo, so it wouldn't work on him. I have to stash money away and then things just suddenly appear around here. :)
xoxo!
Oh you're good....telling him it reminds you of the two of you. Very clever. I'm so glad you got your table. I know how it is when you find something and you really really want it.
Hugs,
LeAnn :)
Oh my word!! That table is so beautiful! I would love to learn how paint that! If it's pink & roses & cherubs, who could resist it?
OH MY GOODNESS! The table is a masterpiece!! I have to try using your tactics on my hubby! (LOL)
Thank you so much for the lovely comment you left on my blog yesterday.
Hugs! Nancy
Hi Sandy,

Love, Love the dressing table. It is sooo gorgeous! What a clever girl you are. When ever I try those antics with my husband he gets wise to me really quick. Love the puggy too. You have some great eye candy. Maybe I'll have to list you in my "fun in blog land"
Kiss the pug for me.

Wow Sandy, that table is amazing! Catherine is so incredibly talented. And YOU are so CLEVER with that little fact to swing the hubby to buy it, that is a stroke of genius!
Oh my stars!! That is stunning. I LOVE it! Some of those photos you took of it would make a lovely banner for the free banner site(hint, hint). =) I gotta go check out this artist.. Blessings, Polly
